Need a few events to add to your Labor Day weekend itinerary?
Here are eight.
Events in Lancaster County this weekend include two art festivals, an ice cream social, a vineyard-based concert duo, a free Lancaster Symphony Orchestra concert, a solo set from indie band The Districts' Robby Grote, a benefit auction and a sunflower festival.

Long's Park Art Festival
The 46th-annual Long's Park Art Festival returns this weekend, bringing 200 juried artists to the park's grounds Friday through Sunday. Artists will show and sell works in many different media, from furniture to fiber arts to ceramics, and even more. Proceeds from the event benefit the park's summer music series.

Nissley Summerfest
Nissley Vineyards will celebrate its closing weekend of Summerfest, a concert series that brought musicians to the vineyards Fridays and Saturdays that kicked off in July. This Friday, rock band Kracker Beez will perform. Dance band Central City Orchestra will perform Saturday.
Those under 21 years old can attend the celebration Friday, but not Saturday. There will be wine, beer and wine slushies, as well as food trucks on site.

Labor Day Auction
Hospice & Community Care's annual Labor Day auction returns this weekend, with auctions happening Saturday and Monday, Sept. 2. Saturday's auctions include items like collectibles, tools, new and used items and art. Monday's auctions include plant and outdoor items, quilts, sports memorabilia, Amish buggies, sheds, outdoor furniture, used vehicles and more.
There will also be plenty of food options and raffles, with the opportunity for attendees to win a 2024 Chevrolet Trax vehicle.

Heart of Lancaster Arts and Craft Show
The Heart of Lancaster Arts and Craft Show returns to Root's Market this weekend, with 115 juried artists who will show and sell their work. During the course of the craft show, there will be several artist demonstrations, from personalized icicle ornaments to gourd painting. Some proceeds will go to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which helps injured veterans and first responders get mortgage-free, accessible housing.

Sunflower Festival
Cherry Crest Adventure Farm will host its annual Sunflower Festival this Saturday, featuring live entertainment, flower picking, craft vendors, wines, beers and more. Attendees will see a less bountiful sunflower field this year due to droughts earlier this year, according to Cherry Crest's website.
The Sunflower Festival will continue Saturday, Sept. 7.

Super Infinity concert
Robby Grote, a founding member of indie-rock band The Districts, will perform a solo set under the moniker of Super Infinity this weekend. The concert is billed as an "electro acoustic" set, and will feature performances by multi-genre band Pine Barons and dream pop band Memory Stitches.

Labor Day weekend concert
The Lancaster Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert in Binns Park this weekend, as part of the Lancaster County Community Foundation's Summer for Lancaster event series. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs.

Ice Cream Social
Support the Lititz Historical Foundation and have a little treat, too. There will be an ice cream social in the Mary Oehme Gardens this Sunday, featuring ice cream from Greco's and live entertainment from Steel Radiance. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs.
The ice cream, and admission to the event, are by donation. Proceeds help to preserve the gardens.
