- Sam Thompson asked "why me?" after landing Inside Out 2 cameo
"It's such a bucket list thing."
Sam Thompson couldn’t believe his luck when he landed a cameo role in Pixar’s latest movie.
Inside Out 2 see’s Joy (Amy Poehler) and the gang forced once again to adjust to change as their host Riley reaches her teenage years.
The movie is a sequel to 2015’s animated hit Inside Out, which is currently available on one of the top streaming services Disney+.
Making a brief appearance in the new movie, former Made in Chelsea star Thompson takes on the role of Security Man Sam.

Chatting exclusively with Digital Spy, Thompson confessed his initial reaction to landing the role was to ask "Why me?".
"I was like, 'I’ve got a voice that grates'," he laughed. "I just said I’d immediately do it.
"It wasn’t even a question. Like, 'Tell me where and when, I’ll be there'. As I said, I don’t think I’ve got a particularly good voice, but I only do like three lines. So, obviously it’s not the biggest deal in the world.
"It’s such a bucket list thing, to be able to go in and do something that all of these amazing people do.
"Like, Amy [Poehler] is an absolute superstar. To be able to go and see even briefly how they do it was so cool."

Teasing ahead to what fans can expect from the film, Thompson promised the movie would deliver lots of laughs alongside emotional moments.
"Pairing these characters with what you’re going through in real life is such an amazing way of humanising stuff," he said, praising the storyline. "I just think it’s amazing."
Thompson went on to confess he’d be keen to reprise his role in the future if a third Inside Out film is released.
"If they want me to reprise the role I can," he exclaimed. "My diary is theirs to command!"
Thompson isn’t the only newcomer to the Inside Out cast as the sequel sees Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri and Adèle Exarchopoulos voicing some of the new emotions in Riley’s mind.
Inside Out 2 will be released in cinemas on June 14.
